Saenz
Paul Saenz is a photographer from Los Angeles, whose work spans street and portrait photography, drawing deeply from his life experiences. Saenz’s journey through photography has been a constant amidst struggles with drug addiction and homelessness. His work often touches on themes of homelessness, a reflection of his own experiences, with a focus on capturing stories without words, especially in portraits.
Largely self-taught, Saenz credits mentors and industry peers like Frankie Orozco, Estevan Oriol, and Calvin Leonard for their influence. He’s also the mind behind Connecting the Dots: Art Collective, a project designed to bring together photographers, models, and car owners from various backgrounds and facilitate creative collaborations.
Through his series and individual work, Saenz aims to showcase underrepresented perspectives in photography.Apart from photography, he has a passion for lowriding, appreciating it as another form of artistic expression. Saenz’s work and projects are a testament to the power of resilience, community, and the art of storytelling through visuals.
